I loved this short story of a bad break up, compromising pictures and second chance meeting with enough heat the to start a fire! Maddox being the successful guitarist for the current "it" rock band and Sydney fuming about how he broke things off with her when the band got a record deal and now demands to have some private pictures back  - makes for a truly entertaining read!

Sydney and Maddox have chemistry! Sizzling kind, the kind that doesn't die in four years of separation, one that can be rekindled with a small gesture, one kiss that will burn so bright there's a chance it'll hurt. Which is why Sydney is skeptic about seeing Madd again.

I really enjoyed this story - if you love romance with a chance for a second go, with a guy who's desperate to right a past wrong and with a girl who never stopped loving him, then this for you!

Niina : Welcome to For The Love of Reading, Autumn, I’m glad you could drop by!

Autumn Jones Lake : Hi Niina! Thank you so much for having me!

Niina : Let’s get started! Can you tell my readers here 4 fun unknown facts about you so we can break the ice?

Autumn : Uh, let's see....I have four dogs, but I think everyone knows that because I mention it a lot. I don't like coffee. I collect nail polish...I love horror movies.

Niina : Tell us little about your participation in the “Love Again Anthology”, what’s your novelette/novella about?

Autumn : I love my story and I hope other people like it as well. It's about this couple, Sydney and Maddox who dated in high school. Maddox is in a band and when they make it big, he dumps Sydney. They reunite in an unusual manner a few years later and sparks fly...

Niina : What scene did you most enjoyed writing and why?

Autumn : Haha! There is a scene between Maddox and Sydney's best friend who is a guy. I think it's really cute and it gives insight into who Sydney is. There is also a scene where Maddox decks his lead singer that was kind of fun. Poor Chase is really misunderstood.

Niina : Maybe we'll get to know what happens with Chase one day? ;) So, why did you pick contemporary romance genre?

Autumn : I like it. I find it the most relatable.

Niina : What do you think makes a hero sexy?

Autumn : I am all over the map on that one. I think it depends on the story and how it is written. I love strong, dominant alpha-male heroes. But, there is also something really sexy about the sweet, sensitive guys. Intelligence and cleverness, I also find pretty sexy.

Niina : Now to more personal questions! Who is your current book boyfriend?

Autumn : I haven't read them in awhile, but I think my heart belongs to Eric Northman from the Sookie Stackhouse books.

Niina : What is your favorite guilty treat?

Autumn : Dark chocolate covered almonds or pecans or walnuts...you get the picture!

Niina : Your Top 3 fictional bad boys, and why them?

Autumn : Damon from the Vampire Diaries (t.v. show) I love him. He has the best lines. My husband and I love to save up a bunch of episodes and watch them all at once.
I'm a huge fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, particularly Zhadist and Rhage. Rhage's story made me cry like a baby!

Niina : LOL! Me too. ;) What does it take to write a really hot love scene?

Autumn : Music. I have a few playlists dedicated to different stories I am working on. Believe it or not, I hate rom-coms.

Niina : Would you rather meet real vampires or werewolves?

Autumn : Vampires for sure!

        Shit! I can’t go anywhere without someone getting out their camera. He raced with Tamara in tow, trying to keep her from the intrusive life he lived. He wasn’t ready to bring anyone into the spotlight with him yet.

        But he had to get out of the hotel first. He unlocked his car and held the door open for her. Even when trying to beat the paparazzi, he still believed in chivalry. After shoving her inside a bit too roughly, he muttered an apology, closed her door then rushed around to the driver’s side. Throwing the car in reverse, he squealed the tires in a rush to get out of the parking garage. How much time did he have? He didn’t know, but if the paparazzi followed him, he’d have to pull some fancy maneuvers to lose them before driving to his destination.

        They made it to the street before he was temporarily blinded by the first flashes. Tamara shrieked when someone knocked on her window, right before another flash of light.

        Fuck! I have to get away from this, get her away from this.

        Pulling onto the Strip, he expected them to stop, leave him alone. But another photographer jumped onto the hood. Josh closed his eyes so the upcoming flash wouldn’t leave him sightless and slammed on the brakes. The man flew off. He made sure the crazy paparazzo was out of the way before taking off. The last thing he needed was to be sued by some maniac with a camera.

        When he’d finally made it off the Strip and onto darker streets, he released the breath he’d held.

        “Who the hell are you?”

        Her words were mixed with fear and anger. With a glassy stare, she waited for his answer. Would the truth ruin what could have been? If he didn’t tell her, she could Google his name anyway.

        “I told you I’m an actor, or at least I was, and a former model. The show I’d been on for two years was recently canceled.”

        Her eyes softened. “But why are people following you? Are you really that famous?”

        He laughed. “Obviously not if you’ve never heard of me. But when you’re an underwear model, you get obsessive fans, and then I was on Searching For Earth on the sci-fi channel. Don’t you follow the tabloids?”

        “No, I have better things to do, but I may have to start watching the sci-fi channel if all the actors are as hot as you.”

        All tension from the encounter with the paparazzi diminished when he saw her smile. He reached over and squeezed her thigh. “Maybe you shouldn’t. They’re all known to be players.”

        She placed her hand on his, making him want to touch even more of her. “Yourself included?”

        He heard the playful tone of her voice, but he wouldn’t make her think he had a big ego. “Maybe at one time, but things changed after the accident. I’m sure you understand.”
