Excerpt: Chapter 1

Willa has something to prove to her father and her brothers, that's she's just as good a pilot as they are and not just a female to carry on the family line. Raining on her parade is that she's signed up with Stratton in the Nebulon Trake space race, her chance to come up on top and win some serious respect. Stratton is known for conniving chauvinist attributes and spending time alone with him fills Willa with anger - he better not hinder her chances at winning.

Stratton is beginning to question this pairing, the woman's a nuisance of the worst kind with a sharp tongue and prickly attitude like he's never countered before. He's in this race to catch another racer and collect the bounty on him, the last thing he needs is a smoking hot tempered woman to hinder his chances of making money.

As they race together through more setbacks and trouble than one can fit in a life time, feelings begin to blossom to the annoyance of both, dead set on not giving them away they take the frustration out in the only way they both know how, arguing like there is no tomorrow - and let's face it with a race like Nebulon Trake there might not be.

Ricochet is a fast pace thrill ride of epic proportions! Bickering, arguing, fighting passion filled trip from one check point to another, spiced with crashes, criminals and rivalry like no other. Sookoo knows how to write them exciting! I absolutely loved the verbal sparring, the bickering, the passion, the lust and the pride! In one word amazing!

Stratton "Sin" Sinnet was a handsome as sin arrogant, chauvinist, crude, brash specimen of a man with a lighting fast temper and sour mood - all those things made him despicable. And then enter Willa and Sin gets a run for his money, she gets under his skin and before he knows it he cares what she thinks or why she turned out like the ice queen she is. Sin was the worst type of alpha, but Willa softened his insult a bit and gave some humor to him which made him so adorable with his temper tantrums.

Willa was a heroine of strength and weakness in all her qualities, proud, arrogant and strong and all in excess! She came out as an ice queen, cursing, head strong and snarky - which made her one kick ass woman. She took crap from no one and held her own even when all odds were against her and even Sin was out of the game. Got to love a girl like that! But she was also too proud, ungiving and arrogant for her own good, but her teaming up with Stratton gave her a nice softer edge, without wiping away the grit of who she was.

I highly recommend this, just for the verbal fighting alone its awesome! The sexual tension undercurrent sure keeps the reader entertained, and when things do heat up it gets Hot! For ½ a star more I would have liked to have seen more love scenes, like maybe a quicky in the back of the ship or something. ;)

Ricochet is a hot romance between two arrogant pilots both willing to give nothing, but wanting all! And look at that cover - kicks ass doesn't it!
